Key areas of collaboration include contract to supply Semen, Liquid Nitrogen and Kroiler Birds. Collaboration on verification and technical inspection and selection of improved breeds of cattle stocking materials particularly, heifers and bulls are also being carried out. NAADS has also maintained close technical collaboration with NAGRIC in the development of livestock specifications.

NAADS and NEC are involved in a joint initiative to implement the Meat Export Support Project in the Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF). NAADS rehabilitated the NEC Katonga Farm for fattening slaughter stock for beef export to a tune of UGX: 16.1 Bn. NAADS also procured a starter stock of bulls for the NEC farm.

In a bid to offtake the growing volumes of grain being produced as a result to the massive seed distribution under NAADS signed an MOU with World Food Program (WFP) to establish community stores in strategic grain producing areas of Uganda. To date 20 community stores have been established. The stores have greatly relieved the post harvesting and handling constraint farmers have been experiencing. The high quality stock supplied are now being sold to WFP and other big buyers.

The Consortium for Enhancing University Responsiveness to Agribusiness Development limited (CURAD), a public-private partnership initiative promoted by Makerere University, the National Union of Coffee Agribusinesses and Farm Enterprises (NUCAFE), and National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO). CURAD is one of the six-agribusiness incubators in Africa that was supported and established by the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA) under the UniBRAIN program of DANIDA in 2011. This is an agribusiness innovation incubator with the aim of boosting creation of jobs and incomes within the agricultural sector in Uganda using the agribusiness incubation model. Nurturing and turning aspiring agro entrepreneurs into viable businesses.
The NAADS CURAD collaboration is a new growing partnership that will see CURADs capacity to incubate processing and value addition initiatives unleased to improve the functionality of NAADS interventions in processing and value addition.
