Monitoring and Evaluation

• The DLG monitoring team on a quarterly basis visits the tea-growing parishes to assess the implementation of the guidelines.
• The tea-growing sub-county monitoring team on a quarterly basis visits the farmers’ gardens to assess the level of establishment and management of tea gardens.
• A multi-disciplinary team involving MAAIF, OPM, MFPED, MoLG, NAADS, OWC Secretariat, leaders of tea nursery operators, representatives of Uganda Tea Association and Farmer Representatives convenes once a year to review the progress and update these guidelines.
• MOFPED and MAAIF annually identifies and allocates additional funds to implement these Guidelines. The funds are used for: printing, raising awareness, dissemination/distribution, extension activities, inspections, field assessment, review meetings and reporting.
