Rice

Rice is widely grown in almost every continent and it an important food security and commercial crop. This is because more than half of the world’s population is dependant on rice for food and income; as a result, global rice demand has grown due to the growing population, urbanization and changes in consumer behaviours. The growth in demand calls for countries to effectively plan for local production and or importation of rice.
