Dairy Cattle

Milk and milk products are mostly got from cattle and a small percentage from goats and sheep. In Uganda the districts of Mbarara, moroto, Bushenyi, Kotido, Nakasongola, Masaka, Mbale, Kabarole, Mukono, Ntugamo-and Kamuli dominate production in this sector. Dairy is carried out country wide but more especially in the cattle corridors of South Western and North-Eastern Uganda regions in Uganda. Most dairy farmers take their milk to milk collection centres and a liter ranges between UGX.1000-2000.
